Welcome back to the blog!
I hope you have all survived the Christmas season, with its celebrations, family gatherings, Christmas Carols, meals, presents, etc. The time has come to come back to normal and to start wondering when we will find the time to do all we wanted to do fifteen days ago (and we never did).
It's also time to remove all Christmas decorations, it could bring bad luck upon the home.
January, 6th was the Twelfth Day of Christmas, that is, twelve days after Christmas Day.
There is a traditional song which speaks about "The Twelve Days of Christmas", which you can find here with the lyrics. It's one of those tunes in which you keep repeating the lines over and over again.
There is also a parody of the song, and I am sure that you will find some of the situations mentioned in the song familiar. You can watch the video here
and read the lyrics here. And as a warm-up, you can participate by telling us your opinion about some of the negative points of Christmas that are mentioned in the song. Do you recognize any of the twelve "pains" of Christmas? Can you think of any others?
Welcome back and I'll see you in class.
